[GV Laser] Hemangioma Removal

Hemangiomas/spider angiomas are vascular lesions where expanded microvessels close to the skin appear as red spots or spiderweb-like patterns, which can be managed with vascular lasers. The GV Laser is a long-pulse laser with two wavelengths, 532nm and 1064nm, allowing for precise removal by adjusting the wavelength and energy according to the size and depth of the lesion. The laser light is designed to be selectively absorbed by hemoglobin in the blood vessels, reducing thermal irritation to the surrounding skin and primarily targeting the expanded blood vessels. Sapphire contact cooling protects the skin surface during the procedure, reducing the burden of irritation and scars, and meticulous aftercare includes soothing management and recovery guidance. ※ There may be individual differences in response and the number of sessions required depending on the type, size, and depth of the lesion, and temporary redness or thin scabs may occur after the procedure.

Cheonan Buldang Kkeut Oriental Medicine Clinic's Hemangioma & Spider Angioma Removal

With GV Laser 532/1064nm, selectively targeting only the lesional blood vessels

From a single red spot to multiple scattered ones.

Red spots appearing one by one on your body could be hemangiomas

Hemangiomas are vascular lesions that are unlikely to disappear on their own, so if they bother you, consider laser treatment.

You might notice vivid red spots appearing one by one on your torso, arms, and face.

Picking or squeezing them can lead to bleeding and increase the risk of scarring or hyperpigmentation,

so it's important to identify the type of lesion and approach it with the appropriate method.

What are Hemangiomas and Spider Angiomas?

Hemangioma (Cherry Angioma)

These are vivid red, raised spots on the skin's surface.

They commonly appear on the torso and arms, tend to increase in number with age, and rarely disappear on their own.

Spider Angioma

This is a lesion with thin capillaries radiating outwards from a central red spot, resembling spider legs.

Commonly found in visible areas like the face, neck, and upper chest, they often cause distress.

Not all red spots are hemangiomas.

Lesions such as moles or hemorrhagic lesions can appear similar, so the type of lesion is first confirmed during pre-procedure consultation.

How does GV Laser remove them?

Selectively targeting hemoglobin in blood vessels,

using wavelengths that operate on the principle of coagulating only the lesional blood vessels.

The GV laser uses 532nm and 1064nm

two wavelengths. For red lesions close to the surface, 532nm is used; for deeper or thicker blood vessels, 1064nm is selected. The wavelength and output are adjusted to match the size, depth, and location of the lesion.

When laser energy is absorbed by the lesional blood vessels and coagulation occurs, you can expect the lesion to gradually lighten or disappear over time.

This procedure aims to treat only the lesion while minimizing irritation to the surrounding normal skin.

Procedure Steps

1.

Consultation & Lesion Confirmation — The red lesion

is identified as a hemangioma, mole, or other lesion, and its number and size are confirmed.

2.

Anesthetic Cream Application (if needed) — Anesthetic cream may be applied depending on the number and location of lesions and your pain sensitivity.

수 있습니다.

3.

GV Laser Irradiation — Wavelength (532/1064nm) and

output are adjusted for each lesion according to its size and depth, and treated one by one.

4.

Calming & Aftercare Guidance — The treated area is

calmed, and we provide guidance on the recovery process and precautions.

Post-Procedure Instructions

•  Immediately after the procedure, the lesion may temporarily redden or slightly darken, and then may gradually lighten over time.

•  Tiny scabs may form. Do not forcibly remove them; please wait for them to fall off naturally.

•  Do not rub the treated area, and pay close attention to sun protection. This is important for preventing hyperpigmentation.

Even if there's only one red spot,

each one must be carefully checked.

This is the treatment for hemangioma and spider angioma removal at Cheonan Buldang Kkeut Korean Medicine Clinic.

Q&A

Q&A

고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.

Q. How many sessions are typically needed for hemangioma treatment?

QnA

It varies depending on the size, depth, and individual skin condition of the lesion. Smaller lesions may lighten with fewer sessions, while larger or deeper lesions may require multiple sessions. During your consultation, we will assess the lesion and provide an estimated number of sessions.

Q. Will there be scars left after removal?

QnA

Most areas recover over time, but temporary redness or hyperpigmentation may occur depending on the size, depth of the lesion, and post-procedure care. It is important for recovery not to forcibly remove scabs and to meticulously use sun protection.

Q. Once removed, will they never reappear?

QnA

Separate from the treated lesions, new hemangiomas may appear in other areas over time. Especially cherry angiomas tend to appear more as one gets older, so managing new lesions as they appear is a realistic approach.

Q. How do I differentiate between moles and hemangiomas?

QnA

Although they may appear similar on the surface, the nature of the lesions differs, requiring different equipment and approaches. During the consultation, we will examine the lesion directly to differentiate them, and if it's not a hemangioma, we will guide you to the appropriate removal method.
