1. Monopolar Method

This method generates radiofrequency energy from a single electrode, then returns the energy through a pad attached to the body.

Energy is delivered deep into the skin tissues, allowing for deep heat effects, but there is a possibility of accompanying irritation.

2. Bipolar Method

Radiofrequency energy circulates between two electrodes, primarily acting on the superficial skin layer and the dermis.

*What is the reason INMODE FX can act on the fat layer despite being a bipolar method?

As explained earlier, it is not easy to deliver energy deep into the fat layer with the bipolar method.

However, INMODE FX has a unique structure designed to effectively act on the fat layer while using a bipolar method.

The key reason lies in its vacuum suction function.

It gently suctions the skin of the treatment area, bringing the skin layer and subcutaneous fat layer into close contact between the two electrodes.

When radiofrequency energy is delivered with the skin layer positioned between the electrodes via vacuum suction, heat energy can effectively penetrate deep tissues such as the fat layer, despite it being a bipolar method.

When treated in this manner, degeneration of fat cells can be induced at temperatures around 42-45 degrees Celsius.

For example, with FORMA mode,

simply delivering warmth to the skin is unlikely to induce sufficient collagen production.

In fact, a temperature of approximately 42-43 degrees Celsius must be maintained consistently in the dermis for at least 10 minutes.

Furthermore, an energy of at least 8-12kJ per area must be sufficiently accumulated to stimulate fibroblasts and induce collagen production.

The same applies to FX mode. It's not simply a method of irradiating radiofrequency (RF) energy; vacuum suction and thermal energy must be applied together.

When heat exceeding 42 degrees Celsius is delivered to the deep skin for more than 6 minutes, fat breakdown and collagen contraction can occur simultaneously.

Depending on the characteristics of the treated area, more than 8-15kJ of energy must be delivered, and for areas with thin skin or those prone to bruising, the vacuum pressure must also be finely adjusted.
