[Intensive Improvement for Hypertrophic Scars] New Skin Laser
Hypertrophic scars, which bulge above the skin, often occur due to excessive collagen production. New Skin Laser is a procedure that organizes scar tissue and loosens fibrous tissue adhered underneath. You can expect the scar to gradually flatten and the skin texture to become smoother. *VAT excluded

Features of Hypertrophic Scar New Skin Laser (Pinhole Technique)
Scar improvement may not be sufficient with laser treatment alone.
New Skin Laser aims for individually customized treatment, carefully planned to consider the unique characteristics of each scar.
1. CO₂ and Er:YAG Lasers, Careful Selection for Each Scar Area
For large, dense scars, CO₂ laser can be used to provide deep stimulation.
For relatively thin or sensitive areas, Er:YAG laser provides a more delicate approach.
The appropriate type of laser is selected after carefully considering the characteristics of each scar area.
2. Pinhole Spacing and Size, Adjusted to Individual Scars
In most cases, the treatment is performed with spacing between 1mm and 2mm.
However, depending on the scar's characteristics, the spacing may be widened to 3mm or more, or sometimes the treatment may be performed more densely.
The precise location, shape, and thickness of the scar are thoroughly assessed to adjust the pinhole spacing and penetration depth.
3. Ablation Depth, Precisely Planned for Upper or Lower Dermis
Whether to treat close to the skin surface or provide deeper stimulation
We may access only the upper dermis,
or, if necessary, stimulate the collagen layer in the lower dermis.
The treatment range is individually set, considering the characteristics of the scar.
Such procedures require a deep understanding and extensive experience with scars.
4. Individually Customized Treatment – A Meticulous Process from Design to Completion
We diagnose the scar condition and establish a treatment plan through individual consultation.
We carefully check the condition of the lesion,
and meticulously design the pinhole's position and spacing according to the characteristics of each scar.
The laser intensity is also delicately adjusted to suit each patient's individual skin condition.
After the procedure, we continuously monitor the recovery process,
and provide detailed guidance on the necessity and appropriate intervals for subsequent treatments.
What is Hypertrophic Scar New Skin Laser (Pinhole Technique)?
New Skin Laser (Pinhole Technique) is a procedure that
uses CO₂ or Er:YAG laser to create microscopic holes, approximately 1mm to 3mm apart, within raised, hypertrophic scars. This helps to break down the adhesions of excessively proliferated collagen tissue,
and can gradually soften the scar tissue structure, thereby helping to alleviate the scar.
This procedure is not merely about resurfacing the skin's surface; it accesses deep into the dermal layer, making it suitable for cases requiring tissue changes in deep areas, such as papular or hypertrophic scars.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
Which types of scars is it effective for?
New Skin Laser can be particularly helpful in improving hypertrophic scars that appear to be raised above the skin. However, the most suitable treatment method may vary depending on the scar's shape, depth, and when it occurred. Therefore, we recommend visiting us for an accurate diagnosis and consultation.
Which machines are used?
At our clinic, we primarily use CO2 laser and Er:YAG laser for New Skin Laser treatments. Our medical staff will directly assess the characteristics of the treatment area and the individual's scar condition to establish a customized treatment plan accordingly.
Are there any precautions?
After the procedure, thin scabs may form. It is important to let these scabs fall off naturally to protect the skin. Please be careful not to remove them artificially. Additionally, it is advisable to avoid using scrubs or exfoliants that could irritate the treated area for a while, and we recommend diligently applying sunscreen when going outdoors.
